Description

This kit is rapidly built. The fitting is better than the 312T2 I've made but still need some fitting. Especially the front wheels and direction.

The engine is not too bad and have nice turbo details. It lacks details (please read pieces - since I like lot'o these!).

The painting indication is faithful, not to the real car but to Protar. Indeed, not many indication of colour. Protar likes to say you don't need to paint their cars since they use prepainted linings. Doh! Dull plastic color that is! But still it makes a good looking car anyway.

History

This car was introduced in 1982. It is the car that Gilles Villeneuve was driving when he was killed on may 8th 1982 at Zolder Belgium during the qualifying. The following year, the FIA forbid the side skirts! One year too late! Patrick Tambay eventually replaced Gilles on the car No. 27 but not without hesitation. Didier Pironi will also suffer a grave accident aboard this car. He will never return to racing killing himself onboard an off-shoar boat in 1987.

Pilots : Gilles Villeneuve, Didier Pironi.

Conclusion

Real fast kit. Made in real short time. Fitting not so bad. Nice looking. Bargain for the price. I personnaly don't like the 126 C look but bought it because IT WAS Gilles Villeneuve!
