Description

First model I ever did. I did many many mistakes due to my lack of experience. Nevertheless for a Protar kit, it is really nicely made. A lot of precision pieces, and a lot of pieces as well (860 or so). You have to take your time doing it.

An example of the detail. You have to sow yourself the security harness. Quite amusing actually! The working suspension system is acurate and movement is excellent. There's a little more paint to do that we would expect from a Protar kit, but is actually a plus!

There are many movable pieces. These being screwed together or soldered (by melting protusions) there is less use of glue. The melting process is usually very well explain, and even me could do it easily! Interesting results.

The engine details are very nice. They even made the belts and ? in the front of the engine work. Indeed everything is screwed, not glued) and attached together using rubber straps (as belts). REALLY fun to make and impressive to see. Unfortunately, this is a joy not shared with anyone since once everything mounted and asembled the front of the engine is no longer visible. I do not have pictures of it since I was not taking pictures of my kits at that time. Sometime, I wish I buy another one just for the engine!

The turbo system is very detailed as well. We can even see the filter (foam)!

Conclusion

Superb model. A must for any serious F1 collection. Very good details and good precisions (almost as good as Tamiya). This kit is made in two format: plastic and metal. The metal version is more expensive (almost double) but you get a little more pieces.
